Dr. Charlotta E. Sanders is an Associate Research Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she teaches graduate level nuclear engineering courses and guides graduate students to the successful completion of a Masters or Doctoral theses. Dr. Sanders has been responsible for the development of teaching and training material for numerous engineering courses, including most recently on the nuclear fuel cycle based on her own written textbook. Additionally, Dr. Sanders is a consulting nuclear engineer with a multi-faceted experience within the nuclear sector offering technical support in criticality safety, nuclear waste management, radiation protection and shielding design work, core analysis, as well as emergency preparedness and hazards assessment.
Dr. Sanders regularly develops, prepares and delivers skills-based training to companies in the nuclear industry and also promotes the safety of the industry by performing self-assessments and audits of programs following applicable standards. Dr Sanders is a registered licensed professional Nuclear Engineer in the State of Nevada, and is the author of over 60 journal/conference articles (including several U.S. NUREGs). Furthermore, she is the co-author of the Elsevier published book titled “Nuclear Waste Management Strategies – An International Perspective”.
Mr. Mark Callis Sanders is a Project Management and Nuclear law consultant with Sanders Engineering. He previously worked as Contract Manager for Holtec International. Mr. Sanders received a post-graduate diploma in International Nuclear law from the University of Montpellier, Montpellier, France. He has published numerous comprehensive journal articles and a book on radioactive waste and spent fuel management, as well as radiation protection policy with a focus on low-dose radiation.
Mr. Sanders’ academic research centers on social constructs combined with technical and scientific principles. Mr. Sanders serves as the chair of the Radiological Protection Working Group for the International Nuclear Law Association (INLA) and as a member INLA’s board of management.
Mr. Sean Marasha is a Strategy Security consultant and specialises in Critical infrastructure resilience and strategic enterprise security risk and threat management. He holds a Bachelor of Security Studies from Macquarie University, Diplomas in Fraud Control and Government Investigations, and Asset Management accreditations. Additionally, he has International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) training centered around Nuclear Security Management, Nuclear Security Threats and Risks, Security of Nuclear Information, Transport Security, and Nuclear Security Detection Architecture Strategy, Design and Planning.
Mr. Marasha developed the multi-modal strategic security analysis capability for Transport for NSW and has in-depth knowledge of the Australian public sector and the environment in which it operates. Mr. Marasha also has extensive business strategy and project management experience in the energy and mining sectors in various Southern African countries.
